Observing birds and nature brings me much joy. I have two favorite seasons: autumn and winter. Every fall, I travel to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Pennsylvania, to observe the migration of raptors and other birds. In winter, I cherish fresh fallen snow and the sights and sounds of nuthatches, chickadees and Northern Saw-whet Owls.
Currently, I am an Education Curator & Senior Naturalist for a New York City Audubon Center. In this capacity, I enjoy conceptualizing, researching, and writing exhibits. I also write curricula and teach students, adults, and educators about science, nature, and the environment through a wide range of school and public programs.
I live with my best friend who is my husband and two cats: Holly and Shakespeare who mews sonnets and loves to bump his head under coffee tables.
