Dr Wohler is one of the lesser known binocular makers from Germany.  The Duomar is a wide angle 12x60 model with good optics but not top build quality.  The sample shown has very soft light blue coatings that rub away easily when cleaned.  I found bubbles in some of the prism and eyepiece elements.  I also found prism shields made of paper, though these could have been added by a previous owner.  The eyepieces are of the Erfle type with a 2-1-2 configuration.

Despite the disappointing quality of construction, the Duomar provides decent wide angle views.  The distortion is low, though there is a fair amount of field curvature and astigmatism at the edge as is expected for such a wide angle design.   The exit pupils are round, but the image seems a little dim due to the old coatings.  There is a slight to moderate amount of ghosting and off axis reflections.
