The Delturisem is another early wide angle binocular from Zeiss Jena.  It is not encountered as often as the Deltrintem, which was made for a much longer period of time.  According to Seeger, there are two versions with different body styles.  The sample shown here is the earlier version with the larger body.  This particular sample's serial number indicates it was made in 1921.  Previous literature indicates the Delturisem as being made from 1923-1931, but it seems reasonable that it was introduced in 1921, the same time as the individual focus version, the Delturis.

The optical characteristics of this Delturisem are similar to a Delactis from the same era, though of course with a smaller aperture.  With only a 24mm objective and being uncoated, the view is not very bright but has a reasonably good wide field with some distortion and astigmatism towards the edge.  For the time period, the performance must have been remarkable.
