Idiosyncratic: Personal Works
The personal works evolved as an affirmation of my deepest instincts gleaned from life experiences and the desire to express human emotion. These works were created in a manner that might be perceived experimental or experiential that unfolds as a creative process rather than as a preconceived narrative. They are an extension of myself, my dreams, and my earthly and spiritual philosophies (e.g. Self-portrait of the Artist Being Pursued by a Large Mouth Bass, Sphere, Gravitrons, Cybo-man, Blue Eyeball ) Many of the sculptures in this section were purchased by private collectors through gallery and various exhibition venues.
In these works I wanted to focus solely on my personal artistic vision. And as a result, I frequently indulged in the intrinsic journey of seeking out ones own "voice". Ironically, works produced in the studio under these circumstances form the basis for works which later became public.

Birth of Venus
The genesis of this piece was achieved inadvertently by way of combining divergent images, and its subsequent manifestation of personal symbolisms and inner feelings. Sheer love of nature, especially aquatic marine life forms have always been indirectly a part of my consciousness and artistic vocabulary.

150 lb Bluefish & Lu Lu
These two distinctive works constitute an altogether different approach to the metal casting
process consisting of the styro-form displacement process as opposed to the lost wax process. I
find styro-foam as an alternative sculpture medium, an extremely versatile material which can
be easily manipulated by using both, subtractive (cutting away) and additive (building) methods.
The unique properties of styro-foam elicits an expressionistic style in my work.

CEO.COM
CEO.COM personifies the duality of humor and the bizarre. By juxtaposing disparate elements,
this half-man/ half mollusk creature symbolizes the chaotic anxieties of contemporary
corporate life. Upon approaching CEO.COM, one is struck by his menacing, yet friendly
demeanor. With his hand outreached, one experiences an ambivalent attraction and repulsion.
CEO.COM epitomizes Post-Modernistic mythology, a kind of artistic non-sequitur.

Self-portrait of the Artist Being Pursued by a Large-mouth Bass
Aroused by a lucid dream, I proceeded to recreate this bizarre experience in the form of a
unique composition. In the dream, I was pursued by a large menacing and predatorial type fish.
Fleeing above water, instead of underwater, the fish was chasing me along what seemed to be
an infinitely long pier towards land. To elude the imminent danger of being swallowed whole, I
was able to distract the fish long enough by tossing small minnows towards its gaping mouth --
I then awakened.
