Ethel was born June 13 1885 Washington Co TN. Ethel was the daughter of Duncan MC NICOL and Mary Jane ROGERS. Ethel died March 20 1922 Washington Co TN, at 36 years of age. Her body was interred March 21, 1922 in Jonesborough Wash Co TN, Maple Lawn. He married Martha Ellen ROGERS in Jonesborough Wash Co TN, Aug 25, 1923.

Martha was born Oct 29 1881 Washington Co TN. Martha was the daughter of James ROGERS and Linda MATHES. Martha died Mar 15, 1959 Washington Co TN, at 77 years of age. Martha Ellen married James Garfield Dickison in 1923, a widower with 5 children, ranging in ages from 3 to 16 years old. She became their mother in ever since of the word. The children loved and respected her. She helped care for her granddaughters Peggy & Carol Ann, daughters of Daisy Dickison & Miller Beals, while their mother worked, after their father was killed in WWII. The grandchildren did not realize that she was a step-grandmother until after their grandpa Gar's death in Dec. of 1950. Although she never gave birth to a child, she was a mother of 5, and grandmother of 12.

Miller was born August 10, 1919 in Jonesborough Wash Co TN. Miller was the son of Allie Marshall BEALS and Sarah Tennessee MILLER. Miller died April 6, 1945 in Asiatic Waters NW Okinawa, at 25 years of age. Miller died during enemy action in World War II. His ship the USS Bush was bombed and sunk northwest of Okinawa, the men were in the water with a few lifeboats. A surviving shipmat of his told his wife Daisy, that their lifeboat was full and Miller said he could swim to the next boat, but he never made it. He was declared "Missing in Action" April 6, 1945 and May 24, 1945 status changed to "Presumed Dead", but his body was never recovered. A monument was placed in his memory at Fairview Cemetery Jonesborough TN. My father Miller was inducted into the US Navy April 4, 1944 in Chattanooga TN. This was only 19 days before my 1st birthday. His age was 24 years & 7 months. His occupation was listed as farmer.

His physical characterisics: he was 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighted 142 pounds, black hair, ruddy complexion, color white, hazel eyes. He had completed 8 years of grade school education.

April 6, 1945 the U.S. Navy Destroyer USS Bush was engaged in battle off Okinawa and was struck by Japanese Kamikaze, the ship exploded and sunk.

She married James F STOUT in TN, Sept 4 1951. James was born October 17, 1930 in TN. James was the son of Frank STOUT. James died Aug 10 1999 in Waukegan Lake Co IL, at 68 years of age. His body was interred Aug 15 1999 in Gurnee IL, Warren Cemetery.

Daisy V DICKISON and Miller West BEALS had the following children:
