The plants featured on this page have been brought to this country by people, purposely, for food and landscaping, or by accident from seeds stuck in clothing or in the hay brought by early settlers to feed their cattle on the long ocean voyage. It is a shock to discover that some of our most familiar and even loved wildflowers are truly invasive aliens that have displaced and are destroying what is left of our native environment.
