This paper discusses the book of Luke.  The gospel emphasizes the Son of man teaching in its biography of Jesus.  Luke was most likely a two volume book of Luke 1:1-24:53 and Acts 1:1-28:31.  Luke traveled with Paul as well as learning about Jesus from many eye-witnesses of His life.  The book is primarily written to the Greek (Gentiles) Christians emphasizing the poor, woman, and social outcast.  All scriptures are from the King James' version .

Zechariah 6:12-13  "And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: {13} Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both."

LUKE THEME:

JESUS CHRIST IS A MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD AND ALSO THE HUMAN IDEAL SON OF MAN SEEKING THE LOST TO SAVE THEM

Luke 19:10  "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."

(15) {Luke 11:29-30} "And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. {30} For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation."

(16) {Luke 13:4-5} "Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? {5} I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

(19) {Luke 20:18} "Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder."

(20) {Luke 21:15-18} "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. {16} And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. {17} And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. {18} But there shall not an hair of your head perish."

(21) {Luke 21:8-36} "And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. {9} But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. {10} Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: {11} And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. {12} But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. {13} And it shall turn to you for a testimony. {14} Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: {15} For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. {16} And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. {17} And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. {18} But there shall not an hair of your head perish. {19} In your patience possess ye your souls. {20} And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. {21} Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. {22} For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. {23} But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. {24} And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. {25} And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; {26} Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. {27} And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. {28} And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. {29} And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; {30} When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. {31} So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. {32} Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. {33} Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. {34} And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. {35} For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. {36} Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

(22) {Luke 22:10-11} "And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. {11} And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?"

(23) {Luke 22:15} "And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:"

(24) {Luke 22:32} "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

(25) {Luke 22:34}  "And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me."

(26) {Luke 22:67} "Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:"

(27) {Luke 23:28-31} "But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. {29} For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. {30} Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us."

(29) {Luke 23:43} "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."

(30) {Luke 24:7} "Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

(31) {Luke 24:49} "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Does John having been filled with the Holy Ghost in the womb mean he is saved before birth?  Does this imply election and predestination by God? {Luke 1:15/41}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb {Luke 1:15}

Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost {Luke 1:41}

Clearly, John in Elizabeth’s womb responded to Jesus presents in Mary’s womb. The Holy Spirit had something to do with that.  God chose John for a special ministry.  John was not perfect, but Jesus words give him a high grade which I believe means he is saved.

Luke 7:20  "When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?"

Luke 7:26-28  "But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. {27} This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. {28} For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

Now to Predestination:  First from a Google search

From Easton  Dictionary:

This word is properly used only with reference to God's plan or purpose of salvation. The Greek word rendered "predestinate" is found only in these six passages, Acts 4:28; Rom. 8:29, 30; 1 Cor. 2:7; Eph. 1:5, 11; and in all of them it has the same meaning. They teach that the eternal, sovereign, immutable, and unconditional decree or "determinate purpose" of God governs all events.

This doctrine of predestination or election is beset with many difficulties. It belongs to the "secret things" of God. But if we take the revealed word of God as our guide, we must accept this doctrine with all its mysteriousness, and settle all our questionings in the humble, devout acknowledgment, "Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight."

For the teaching of Scripture on this subject let the following passages be examined in addition to those referred to above; Gen. 21:12; Ex. 9:16; 33:19; Deut. 10:15; 32:8; Josh. 11:20; 1 Sam. 12:22; 2 Chr. 6:6; Ps. 33:12; 65:4; 78:68; 135:4; Isa. 41:1-10; Jer. 1:5; Mark 13:20; Luke 22:22; John 6:37; 15:16; 17:2, 6, 9; Acts 2:28; 3:18; 4:28; 13:48; 17:26; Rom. 9:11, 18, 21; 11:5; Eph. 3:11; 1 Thess. 1:4; 2 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 1:9; Titus 1:2; 1 Pet. 1:2. (See DECREES OF GOD; ELECTION.)

Hodge has well remarked that, "rightly understood, this doctrine (1) exalts the majesty and absolute sovereignty of God, while it illustrates the riches of his free grace and his just displeasure with sin. (2.) It enforces upon us the essential truth that salvation is entirely of grace. That no one can either complain if passed over, or boast himself if saved. (3.) It brings the inquirer to absolute self-despair and the cordial embrace of the free offer of Christ. (4.) In the case of the believer who has the witness in himself, this doctrine at once deepens his humility and elevates his confidence to the full assurance of hope" (Outlines).

From WordNet hyperDictionary:

  1. [n]  (theology) being determined in advance; especially the doctrine (usually associated with Calvin) that God has foreordained every event throughout eternity (including the final salvation of mankind)
  2. [n]  previous determination as if by destiny or fate

From my beliefs referring to the paper:

John 15:16  "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."  JESUS CHOSE THE ELECT TO HAVE FRUIT THAT WILL REMAIN

Romans 9:11  "(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)"  THE ELECT’S BIRTH AND EXISTENCE DOES NOT PRODUCE THE OUTCOME, ONLY GOD

Ephesians 1:4  "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:"  THIS, ROMANS 9:11, & 1 PETER 1:20 ALL SHOW THAT IT IS PREDESTINATED (PLAN OF GOD) BEFORE BIRTH OR CREATION THAT DETERIMINE THE ELECT’S SALVATION

Ephesians 2:10  "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." EVEN THE ELECT’S WORKS ARE PREDESTINATED BEFORE HIS BIRTH.

1 Peter 1:20  "Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,"

How to handle related scriptures:

2 Peter 1:8-10  "For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. {9} But he that lacketh these things blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. {10} Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:"

THE PROBLEM IS WE DO NOT KNOW IF WE ARE ELECTED.  THE CHRISTIAN MUST DO EVERYTHING HE CAN AS A CHRISITAN AND KNOW HIS FAITH IN JESUS RIGHTEOUSNESS (WORKS) ARE IMPUTED TO HIM.  HE HAS NO RIGHTEOUSNESS OF HIS OWN.  GRACE IS GOD GIVEN JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER GIFT FROM GOD.

(9) John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire {Luke 3:16}

(10) Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison {Luke 3:20}

(11) And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? {Luke 5:33}

(18) For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. {Luke 7:33}

(19) They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again. {Luke 9:19}

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  What was important about John not drinking wine etc? {Luke 1:15}

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 1:15  "For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb."

A Nazarite is only found in the Old Testament.   He is dedicated by a vow to a ministry of separation unto God.  He remains clean, does not cut his hair, and does not drink wine.

Judges 13:7  "But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death."

John is the last Old Testament Prophet.

Matthew 11:13  "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Why were John, his father Zacharias, and his mother Elisabeth filled with the Holy Ghost? {Luke 1:15/41/67}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 1:15  "For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb."

Luke 1:41  "And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:"

Luke 1:67  "And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,"

The Holy Spirit outpouring was mainly limited to prophecies in the Old Testament.  These people are still under the Old Testament guidelines and used the gift of God’s Spirit to prophesy.

Matthew 11:13  "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John."

Judges 6:34  "But the spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him."  The Prophet needed the Spirit to write his  book.

1 Samuel 10:10-11  "And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.{11} And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?" God’s Spirit upon Saul

Psalms 51:9-12  "Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. {10} Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. {11} Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. {12} Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit."  After David sinned, he requested God not take away the Holy Spirit.

In the spirit and power of Elias:

Matthew 17:10-12  "And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? {11} And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. {12} But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Luke 1:20  "And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be perfored, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season." Punishment for his lack of faith and a sign to all others of God’s control.

Luke 1:21  "And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple."

Luke 1:22  "And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless."

They perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple:

Acts 9:5-8  "And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. {6} And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. {7} And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. {8} And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus."

Luke 1:23  "And [ it came to pass ], that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house."  His ministry period of serving the temple was over.

Luke 1:24  "And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,"

Luke 1:25  "Thus hath the /\ Lord /\ dealt with me in the days wherein /\ he /\ looked on me, to take away my reproach among men."

To take away my reproach among men:

(5) Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man {Luke 1:34}

(6) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God {Luke 1:35}

(7) And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her {Luke 1:38}

(8) And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda {Luke 1:39}

(9) And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost {Luke 1:41}

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER: Mary is espoused to Joseph before they were married, and why did Joseph need a bill of divorce? Did they get married and have a ceremony? {Luke 1:27}

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joseph and Mary married before he took her to Bethlehem.  They most likely had a Jewish marriage ceremonial.  Joseph marriage means Jesus is born to an earthly father where the Jewish tribe line of Judah and David is given.  Joseph is the step father of Jesus and legal parent as this occurred before Jesus birth.  The father supplies the name to the child Jesus.  See Luke 1:63 where Zacharias gives John his name

Matthew 1:18-20, 24-25  "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.  {19} Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. {20} But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. {24} Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: {25} And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS."

Luke 4:22  "And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 1:28  "And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the /\ Lord /\ is with thee: blessed art thou among women." Highly favoured as mother of Jesus

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Does every generation still call Mary blessed (Roman Catholic)? {Luke 1:28/42/48}

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 1:42  "And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb."

Luke 1:48  "For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."

It is too bad the Roman Catholic Church has wrong teachings about Mary.  If we ignore Roman Catholic’s then Mary would be blessed being the mother of the man Jesus and she still be blessed.  The Christian who studies the Word of God and keep it is also blessed.

Luke 2:34-35  "And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; {35} (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."  Mary will suffer seeing Jesus crucified.

Luke 11:27-28  "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. {28} But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

See my paper: "Jewish  Teachings on Heaven, Hell, & Spirit Beings" for more information on this subject.

Luke 1:29  "And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be."

Luke 1:30  "And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with /\ God /\."

Found favour with God: Grace from God to man

Luke 2:40  "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Why is grace (favor with God) not in Matthew or Mark? {Luke 1:30}

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Favor with God is equal to grace. Certainly, Matthew and Mark include scriptures that show God’s grace such as Jesus teachings, healings, death and resurrection.  The word grace is however, not found in these two books.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See my paper: "Mary" for more information on this subject.

Luke 1:31  "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a M son M, and shalt call M his M name M JESUS M." Jesus means God saves

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Does mother of my Lord mean Mary is the mother of God? {Luke 1:31/43}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 1:43  "And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"

The mother of my Lord:

Mary is the biological mother of the human man Jesus.  In the Jewish religion, the child becomes Jewish through his mother.  Jesus is also true God and always existed.  Mary is not the mother of God – Divine Son Jesus.

The Roman Catholic use of the mother of God is false as shown in her statement “my Saviour”.  Also God the Father and the Holy Spirit do not have Mary as their mother.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 1:32  "M He M shall be great, and shall be called the M Son M of the /\ Highest /\: and the /\ Lord /\ /\ God /\ shall give unto M him M the throne of M his M father David:"

The throne of his father David:

2 Samuel 7:16  "And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Does the Jewish kingdom continue forever? {Luke 1:32/33}

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jews are God’s chosen people forever.  The Church did not move them from that unique position among peoples.  Jesus, the man, is still a Jew.  This Jewish promise continues into the kingdom age.  The Gentiles Christians are grafted into Jewish nation.

Genesis 17:7  "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee."

Isaiah 66:21-22  "And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. {22} For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain."

Romans 11:18-25  "Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. {19} Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. {20} Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: {21} For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. {22} Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. {23} And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. {24} For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? {25} For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

[ THEREFORE ]: holy thing which shall be called the Son of God

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Is the Holy Ghost the father of Jesus?  Jesus refers to his father as God the Father? {Luke 1:35}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Holy Spirit and also God the Father is Jesus earthly Father since there is only one Triunity Godhead.   This is a large topic which needs many scriptures.  See my paper for more information on this subject at:

See my paper: "Just Who Is God?" for more information on this subject.

I know that one can’t compare the Triunity Godhead to any earthly material, but I will try nonetheless to help people understand the Triunity God.

Water (H2O) can be found in three states:  liquid, solid, and gas.  If you take liquid water and boil it, you have both liquid and gases water states.  If you drop a water ice cube into the liquid-gases mixture you have water in three states at the same time.

This could be compared to the triunity Godhead of the one God existence in all three (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) at the very same time.

Luke 1:44  "For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for [ joy ]."

The babe leaped in my womb for joy:

Psalms 22:10  "I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION/ANSWER:  Does my Savior mean Mary is a sinner? {Luke 1:47}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since Mary was born from the seed of Adam, she is a sinner by birth.

1 Samuel 2:1  "And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation."

Luke 16:16  "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it."

John 1:15-17  "John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. {16} And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. {17} For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."  John, whose name means Lord of grace,is a witnessof Jesus ministry change from law to grace.
