Reuben McCray • First Director of Boys' Home

From 1958 to the early '70's, Rube McCray guided Boys Home in a program for making men out of boys that had gone astray. Under his guidance it became one of the finest facilities in the nation. His wife, with her cultural and educational background, was a wonderful asset, developing the Traveling Choir that performed throughout the state. The McCrays did an outstanding job in developing the boys' character and self-discipline.
