Introduction
Wecome! BG Records was conceived to rescue the world from an evil presence which is sucking the culture from our existence. This vacuum being the music industry. We are destined to be masked, leotarded and caped musical superheroes bringing art music to the forefront, while at the same time, hindering the plot to deny culture from our youth. Corporate ventures have ruined radio stations as they are forced to play whatever increases the sales of disposable goods. Let's rewind back to the day where one would sit down with a record sleeve in hand, stare at the LP cover and actively listen to music. We wondered how these rock gods lived, how they got those sounds. We superimposed ourselves into the landscape of sound. Elvis was truly a king, Paul was almost dead and Ozzy was Satan. You created your own mental videos, which starred YOU. Now, MTV has taken over a generation of weak minds and shows them what they are supposed to think. They are shown a world that they will never be a part of as loops of senseless images exclude them from the post-teen party. Who travels to the darkest corners of the underground to unearth the most ambitious, retarded, unique, and colorful home recordings in the world? BARFING GLITTER RECORDS. This is a labor of love and obviously not a great way to become rich or get chicks. As a drummer, pseudo engineer, project studio owner and geek, I have had the great fortune of befriending the most unique artists who have chosen to follow the dense and difficult path of musical creativity to its fullest by writing, producing and engineering musical masterpieces that have been painstakingly designed within the limiting yet emancipating walls of a converted garage or bedroom studio. This is a long term plan with no preconceived ideals other than to let the world know that there are geniuses buried beneath the pandemonium of materialistic glitz, hidden by their own fear, and certainly distanced by their own creativity. Will Barfing Glitter Records carve out a molecular niche in the world of culture? It's up to you to decide! Love, Chuck Mancillas e-mail
