Help By Phone
Berwyn Presbyterian maintains one of the nine Help By Phone food pantries located around Prince Georges County. Berwyn's Help By Phone food pantry is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Every year, we provide emergency food assistance to more than 1,400 people in Greenbelt, College Park, Berwyn Heights, Riverdale, Beltsville, and Laurel. To access services through Help By Phone, call (301) 699-9009. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Victoria Buckland.
Safe Haven
Each year, Berwyn hosts 15 men that call Kidder Hall their home for a week. Berwyn is one of 15 area churches and synagogues that take turns hosting the men for a week at a time during the winter. Safe Haven is a program of Help By Phone.
This year, Berwyn Presbyterian will host Safe Haven from January 13-19. Tasks involved include: set-up and clean-up of Kidder Hall, meals, food shoppers, chaperones, and transportation. A board listing specific needs is in the Narthex each Sunday. Please participate in this project to minister to people in need in our community. Cash donations are always welcome, even if your cannot help with the tasks listed above. Prayerfully consider how God would have you contribute, then contact the Deacons.
