Berwyn Concerts
Berwyn Presbyterian sponsors a variety of very high-quality concerts throughout the year. Our next concerts are:
- Berwyn Concert: Karolina Syrovatkova, piano recital - Join us on Saturday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a wonderful evening of piano music as Czech pianist Karolina Syrovatkova presents Johann Sebastian Back's Italian Concerto, Czech composer Leos Janacek's In The Mists, and Franz Schubert's Sonata in A Major D. 959. Admission is free; donations are accepted.
- Berwyn Concert: Chamber recital, flute and piano - On Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. Louisiana State University professors Andrea Kapell (flute) and Yuling Huang-Davie (piano) will treat us to a chamber recital of music by Bach, Lieberman, Sancan, Poulenc, Heiss, and Muczynski. Admission is free; donations are accepted.
- Berwyn Concert: The Chesapeake Flute Consort - Join us on Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. for the Chesapeake Flute Consort, Jayne T. Rose, conductor, as they present a concert of classical, sacred, and music on the lighter side. Program to be announced. Admission is free; donations are accepted.
Adult Choir
Berwyn's adult choir is committed to the idea of "the more, the merrier!" We welcome both beginner and experienced singers to join. Rehearsals are being held on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. during Lent. We will move back to our Wednesday rehearsal time after Easter.
Music Director
Berwyn Presbyterian is blessed to have the wonderful Dr. Gabriel Ruiz-Bernal at the organ each Sunday as our music director and our choir director. His musical interests span a broad range of styles, and Berwyn gets the pleasure of hearing many different styles during our worship services.
