Garden Club
The crocus, the daffodils, the narcissus all remind us that we, too, have seasons. -Anonymous
Last month, the Buds... article that ran in the Berwyn Briefs asked for volunteers to come forward to help with the church gardens. I am sad to report that not a one volunteer stepped forward to the challenge! This is especially disheartening since the time is NOW to begin cleaning and preparing the gardens for spring growth.
If you are unhappy with the condition of any one of the gardens, consider adopting it and making it your own project! Put your energy into making a positive change rather than a negative one by criticizing the general appearance of the gardens. For years the Berwyn Gardeners labored behind the scenes donating hours of elbow grease to beautify the church grounds. Perhaps we at Berwyn are at the threshold of a new season...
Your thoughts, positive comments and suggestions as well as help will be appreciated!

If you have what it takes: a willingness to commit a few hours per month, joy in working out doors, satisfaction in a job well done.

Berwyn Bucs
Short for Berwyn Buccaneers, Berwyn Bucs are those who participate in work days at BPC. They tackle projects both inside and outside the building. Typically, the Berwyn Bucs Days are the fourth Saturday of the month, but that varies due to holidays, needs, other scheduled church activities, and known availability of helpers. The 9:00 a.m. to noon activity frequently culminates with a cookout or other lunch. All are welcome to participate. Join in the fun and teamwork. For more information, contact Property Manager, Joe Haskell (301-345-3435) or Rex Powell (301-935-5289).
