Barmouth and surrounds are beautiful and are forever captured in my memory and through the lens of my camera. Not matter what the weather, under stormy winter skies or fresh summer breezy days there is beauty everywhere. The people, the mountains, the lakes, the rivers, the streams. There were times, on winter stormy days when the sea was crashing over the promenade walls and the rain was driving horizontally over Cardigan bay, that I would stand on the promenade gasping for air and steadying my body against the onslaught, challenging nature, defending my town against all that nature could hurl. The salt spray would burn my eyes and the cold penetrate my clothes but it was a wonderful feeling, more so because I was alone in the darkness.
The following pictures are taken from my last trip in the winter of 2000. I generally use a Sony digital camera (3mpixel) these days for portability and ease of upload/storage.

As I collect more photographs I will post them for your enjoyment.
I usually made use of various servers (Apple, MSN, ATT) to house photographs since they are large file sizes. I have limited each page to six pictures so that downloading is not too arduous and the first page you open in each case will contain thumbprints which can be clicked to enlarge.
