Pastor of Belcroft Bible Church

Goal
of position:
To be used of God to oversee the different ministries of the church,
specifically in the area of education to help our church fulfill our purpose of
“A family of believers in Jesus Christ loving and worshiping God, loving and
caring for His family, and loving and sharing Christ with the world around
us.”
Responsible to:
Senior Pastor
Accountable To:
Elders
Qualifications:
Bible College and Seminary degree or educational equivalent.
Professional or lay ministry experience in organizing and executing
ministry programs.
Experience in leadership development, volunteer recruitment, development,
and placement.
Good communication skills,
oral and written. Good ability to
relate to people on all levels.
Good organization skills and computer skills.
Ability to design and implement educational programs.
1. Ministry coordination and
Lay Leadership Development.
- Develop and maintain
training program for lay leadership.
- Recruit, motivate, and train
youth and adult leaders.
- Help each church member
identify his or her gifts/talents.
- Establish program to promote
volunteerism.
- Serve as a resource to all
Council and Ministry leaders.
2.
Christian Education.

Develop policies and procedures for an educational program of excellence.

Develop a program for overall Christian education at BBC.

Create teacher development and training program.
Conduct quarterly teacher training seminars.

Observe each class at least twice per year.

Oversee the Junior and Senior High youth programs.
3.
Administration and Planning.
-
Oversee secretary in the creation and maintenance of membership database.

Direct and supervise the maintenance of the church calendar; provide ministry
leaders with monthly update.

Work closely with Council leaders and Ministry heads to prevent schedule
conflicts and ensure all church activity supports BBC=s
short and long term goals.

Other Responsibilities
-
Select and obtain all necessary materials and resources.

Submit quarterly reports to Pastor and Elder Board regarding status of ministry
coordination and lay leader development.

Be available to teach/preach upon direction of the Pastor

Participate in meetings/events directed by the Pastor.
