UPDATE: October 27, 1999

I know I should have done this a long time ago. For those of you who don't know, Beakman's World has moved to our Angelfire location at http://angelfire.com/fl2/beakmansworld/index.html. This is considered Beakman's World I and will continue to be online as an Archive for older material that you may want to Reference. The Angelfire location is considered Beakman's World II and is your source for current information, decks, and just plain SW:CCG fun.

So come and visit Beakman's World II.

UPDATE: July 7, 1999

Surprise everyone, Beakman here. Well, I had a fantastic week last week. In news from the peanut gallery, I went on a trip to Anaheim, CA, to compete in the International Collegiate Barbershop Quartet competition there. There were 20 other quartets competing and one from as far away as New Zealand. That was exciting. After 3 hours of competition and biting our nails, the top five were announced. I am happy to say that my quartet, Station 59, won the Gold by a mere 11 points out of 1,000. Needless to say, we were very excited. Later that weekend we had the opportunity to sing in front of an audience of over 12,000 people!! If that doesn't get you pumped, I don't know what will! There's nothing quite like the sound of that many people applauding... something I will remember for the rest of my life!

Anyhow, I returned to the real world where Endor had been released. So far I like many of the cards in the set including the LS card (and DS version) "Here we go Again." If battling is your thing, you are going to love this card. So far I have only bought one box, but I hope to get another. I hope to write a few reviews on some of the new cards as well as get an updated trade list up very soon.

And now for a little content. QJ has prepped two tourney reports for you all. The first is another Battle of Yavin report, this one from Rogue56. We didn't mean to neglect proper mention of the BoY....serious credit goes to Statman, who volunteered so many hours to put such a great event together. Speaking of Statman, the second report is his take on Origins...sounds like there were a few snags in the operation of Origins that he felt were unnecessary. Take a read and decide for yourself.

Last night, QJ and I played our own personal Endor booster draft tourney. All I have to say is that the reports are right...the LS will almost always lose. In every game, I got trounced because the ewoks just couldn't keep up with all of the power two, ability two Imperials QJ pulled. I think Decipher just might have over estimated how much fun it will be to be the light side and get your butt kicked every single game.

I have changed the "Comments" link on the nav bar to connect directly with QueenJawa's e-mail address. Anything you send to that link will no longer be sent directly to me...QJ will see it all first.

Finally, QJ asked me to pass along that she now has a LS Epic Event. She appreciates all of the trade offers, but we got one in our booster draft.

That's all for now.
