*** I went to the tourney with 2 friends (I teached them when we began to play, now they are nasty to play against...) and we three wanted to win. We had our chances. Let's see:
1st game (0 -21)
LS vs Space/Ground Mix
I started, as usual, with Massassi Throne Room, and he started with Death Star. The worst nightmare came true: I only got **** in my hand (no characters, no starships). My locations had to show up, but I only got Kessel, and I preferred to wait a few turns to deploy it along with the Falcon or something. I drew up and I got CC: Lower Corridor (that location with 2 DS icons and only 1 LS icon). Something was smelling bad... He activated and drew. I activated and didn't deploy any of those locations cause he would have had advantage of them. I drew, and end with 3 senses in hand, but no characters. He Monnoked me, and I knew that was the begining of the end... Finally, after being drained for 1-4 about 5 turns, I got out the Farmboy with his stick at the Corridor, and Leia, Pucumyr and Talz at CC:Carbonite Chamber, for a good drain. He deployed U3PO to the Corridor. I deployed RLiR1 to Kiffex, where he was draining with a Victory and pilot. With the Mantellian I could stop him for a moment, but he brought back his fleet from Kasyyyk (another 2 Victory with pilots) and deployed Devastator. I forfeited Obi and a Falcon and deployed Tantive for some xtra power. Then, it was ground turn. (He was activating lots of force, with Reactor Terminal on table). He deployed Tarkin, Vader/stick and Evazan to meet Luke. He altered my Mantellian. I had a Control but I decided not to use it I got something in hand for him... He battled, Vader hit Luke and I told him if he want Luke to go inmediatly. He smiled and told me he preferred to continue. He played I Have You Now, but I got another Sense in hand (woaw!) and... The Force Is Strong With This One. He began to fear... I hit Tarkin and drew 3 x 4 destiny = 12. He even forgot to cancel a destiny, heheh... but the game was almost over. He had about 10 cards in hand, but I altered his Reactor Terminal, so the differential wasn't tooooo large.
*** At this moment, Nacho had lost his game, too. He was playing next to me. He was winning, it was just a matter of time (1 turn, cause he got Asteroid Sanctuary with 4 Asteroids, a Y-Wing draining for 3 there, and some more), when he forgot to move a Corellian back to Yavin! He losed by 10. On the other hand, Victor won by 19. At least, due to the differentials, we knew we weren't to play each other...
2nd game (2 -9)
DS vs Mains & Toys (I dont know a lot about it, just cause I didn't let him play comfortable)
I was feeling sad. I thought I could have some chances to qualify for the final, and now I was fearing to lose every game. But not. I decided to go for sure. I deployed EV9D9, Power droid and Medical droid in 1st turn, along with Mos Eisley. He drew. I looked for JP:AC and deployed Feltipern (my classical start) with Presence of The Force. He saved force, so I knew he was going to deploy there and battle. I None Shall Passed his Obi (he played with Do Or Do Not) and deployed Vader with his saber and moved him to Obi's Hut, waiting... He deployed meanwhile a ship to Kessel. Not really a problem. Next turn, his Obi went for Darth, but there were my The Circle Is Now Complete. He played then a interrupt to add a destiny in that duel (gasp!), I sensed it, he controled, I sensed again (succesfully, and losed the sense and 2 cards more, doesnt matter). Bye, bye 'old fossil'. The game was over, but I drew cards to asure the win. I had 12 cards in hand every time, and draining like mad (Vader for 4 at Obi's, Gailid and Mossep at the Chamber with lots of characters there, 4 droids at the Workshop, Zuckuss and Bossk at Jundland).
*** Victor won his game, too, but Nacho losed again. And then, we all knew that Enrique Pascual (the 1997 Ithor winner and 6th at Worlds) had losed his game! For what he told me, he just forgot to move Kal Fal Kndros away from Boba Fett, the the opponent deployed there Blizzard 2 and a pilot and made him like 10 force... These things happen to everybody, you see...
3rd game (4 +6)
LS vs JP deck with Vader(s) and spies.
He started with that effect that makes Obi, Luke, Yoda, etc. deploy +2. I got Luke and his saber, Pucumyr, Talz and Leia, and CC:Carbonite Chamber in hand. I deployed Luke in 2nd turn and altered his effect (he had no control!). I think his deck was lack of characters (my JP deck has 25...). He had to draw a lot, meanwhile I deployed Leia (CC), Talz and Pucumyr, to drain for 5 (with Lightsaber Pro.). He controled it a turn, then deployed U3PO, but I Sorry About The Mess him inmediatly. He deployed then Djas Phur there with a thermal detonator! Noooooooo! He battled, but he drew a 5, a 4 and a 3 for the weapon, so only Talz was hit. I blasted him (He drew a 0!). Next turn I deployed Mantellian, and Bomark Monk with KFC to T:JP. (Also, I was draining at Kessel with RLiR1. A few turns later he deployed Executor, but I forfeited a Falcon from hand and took the drain +1 for the rest of the game. This was too much for him, I know). He deployed Tarkin, Mossep and Blizzard 2 and battled me, but I forfeited something from hand and move them to JP:AC. He moved to Jundland Wastes to drain more. He deployed Vader to T:JP and battled, but my Mantellian did it again. Then, I deployed Sic Six and Lando to the Jundland, and Obi to confront Vader. He tried to Circle Obi, but I sensed it twice, and battle him. Bye, bye, Dark Lord, this Smoke Screen is for you. Bye Bye, Mossep, sorry for drawing that 5 for destiny... The only thing he could do was deploy Garindan with undercover, but I had two other locations at CC, and was draining him for about 8 a turn. Everything worked ok this time.
*** Nacho won his first game! Victor got his 3rd victory in a row, so we went to Burguer King very happy, ate quickly, and back again, trying to calm down... Everybody was already there, and a few of them were even playing before the tourney started again! That's insane... 8^)
4th game (6 +24)
DS vs Mains and toys on Cloud City.
He started with Yoda's Hut. I got EtE in hand, so deployed every JP location and EV9D9 and the Power Droid to the Workshop. He drew. Good, I thought. I deployed Feltipern to JP:AC and Jundland Wastes, drew some cards (got None Shall Pass, Control, Vader, The Circle...). He deployed Yoda to his Hut and two CC locations, where he put Obi with his stick and Chewie. I thought he was planning to Nabrun, but since I had Oota Goota in hand, I just waited. I deployed Bossk and Ephant Mon to back up Feltipern and... Mossep with Gailid, ehehheh. He tried to Noble Sacrifice Yoda with Bossk ability, but I told him he had to target my character power. He drained me for 3 at CC (which I controlled). Then I deployed Zuckuss to T:JP and moved EtE to Jundland Wastes (which was next to T:JP) via Surprise. He was letting me do everything, and I just drew to get Vader's saber. Next turn, he drained me for three again, and I losed Oota Goota (I had 2 in hand) and 2 more. He deployed SoS/saber and R2 D2 to the other CC location. I knew I was going to win... I drained him for 6 (3+2+1), and he dropped 2 Control and a card. I deployed 4-Lom to the Workshop and he Noble Sacrificed Yoda (good, he took the bait!), recovering 9 force. Now, listen: I deployed Vader and his saber to meet SoS and R2. I battled and Weapon Levitated his saber. I hit SoS and drew a 3, so he said bye bye (he drew a 2 I think). I moved then to Obi, Chewie, Talz and Circled Obi. He tried to sense, but I was full of Alters. He only got about 4 cards in hand, so Vader stayed there to have a chat with those funny rebels... He deployed KFCl, SoS (again), Han, Leia... everything, saving just one force to battle Vader. I Elis Helroted. He had to eat my drain: 3 at T:JP, 2 at JP:AC, 4 at the Workshop, and 2 with Vader = 12. And I deployed Tarkin and Boba Fett to back up Darth. As you see, it took only one more turn.
*** Wooohoo! Three consecutive wins! And everybody except for 4 people had lose at least one game. Nacho won again and Victor was still undefeated.
5th game (6 +16)
LS with the same guy I played the 1st game!
I had a better hand than then, but he won anyway. I'm still thinking how it could happen. We knew it depends on us to qualify. So we played very HARD. We drained each other (me at CC, he at systems) like mad. I had Pucumyr, Yoxgit and Chewie at Carbonite Chamber and Obi with saber and Lightsaber Proficiency at the Lower Corridor. In a turn, I was to deploy Han (I didnt use the force, though), and I took him back to drain him. I was a little upset when he told me I already had deployed him, and I couldn't drain. Okay. After, He got Vader, Evazan and Tarkin there and tried to Circle my lone Obi. I said: 'Are you going to play that card?' He said 'yes, of course'. 'Use 1 force, then'. "Okay, it's done'. 'Good, place your Vader out of play, thanx'. 'No, no, Lightsaber Pro. is only for battles'.'Mwahahahahah, read the text of the site, pal'. After that, There were some battles at Defensive perimeter, my Luke and Leia with saber against his Walkers. I kicked him out, but too late. I would had won in the next turn (he drained me for 4 and I only had 4 force, aaarg!). I was going to drain him for 9, and he had only 8 cards (none in hand).
*** Nacho won again (3 in a row!) and... Victor too! There were only 2 more players undefeated. He knew his differential was lower than others, but he would go to the final if he won the 6th game...
6th game (8 +27)

Well, knowing I couldn't win the tourney, I calmed down. I played with a guy who didn't know a lot of JP, so I explained him my strategy and all. He couldn't do anything. I Circled Obi (man, I did it the three games!), None Shall Passed Luke, Bubo ate Han, drained like crazy with Gailid and my droids, captured 2 guys... everything. Not much to say. We had a good chat and game, anyway.
*** Nacho did it again. He ended 14th (8 +24), just after me. And Victor (sigh) lose this game. He ended 4th (10 +94).
