These interviews are meant to take an interesting look at those in
the SW:CCG community that we know a little about. Hopefully these will
reveal some new things about the people we talk to on the internet
1. Name
Jedi. ZippyDaJedi
2. Rank
Only if I don't shower daily. I'm usually not that rank.
3. Serial number
I can't see the bar code on my butt. ::spinning around and around:: Hey!
Get back here!
4. Favorite Breakfast cereal
Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs
5. What is your favorite quote from the trilogy?
"So, I see you Schwartz is as big as mine." Dark Helmet
D'oh! Wrong movie!
"I am altering the pants...er.... plans..... pray I don't alter them any
further." Vader --take 1
"I am altering the plans, pray I don't alter them any further." Vader
6. What SW:CCG card would you call the "Spawn of Satan?"
Bubo/Worrt Even though I use them in my decks, they are a bit too powerful for creatures.
7. What SW:CCG card would you call a "Gift from God?"
Spaceport Speeders - Never underestimate the power of the salesman
8. How long have you been playing SW:CCG?
Since December 1995 when the game first came out. I've been a regular
tournament player since May 1997 and a Tournament Director since April 1998.
9. If you could change one thing about the game, what would it be?
I don't know of anything about the game I'd change. Even though certain
strategies and cards are abused, I wouldn't do anything to fix them.
It's up to each individual player to overcome those challenges with
ideas of their own. Most players are smart enough to do that.
10. Favorite non-rare card in the game
Spaceport Speeders. I may not be playing it at the moment, but it is a
great card. Check out the review at Colonel Mustachio's
Review Archive. It's an older review, but still viable now.
11. Favorite strategy in all of SW:CCG history
I don't know if you'd consider it a strategy, but I like the challenge
of Sealed Deck formats. You need to use a certain degree of strategy in
deck construction and play.
12. Best SW:CCG moment ever
That's a tough one. I think it would be when I realized that I had
earned the respect of my peers at tournaments. That told me that they
believed that I am a good player.
13. Number of roosters owned
I'm ignoring this question! :)
14. Type of car driven
1993 Assault Gunboat with a custom license plate: JEDIKNGT
(Really! The tag on my car is JEDIKNGT!)
15. Favorite food
San Francisco Chicken. It's a home-made dish that Mrs. Zippy makes every
now and then. It's so good that I usually eat waaaay more than I should
and then I feel like I'm gonna bust! But it's worth every bite.
16. Favorite drink
Considering that I don't drink alcohol, (by choice) I'd have to say
Vanilla Cream Soda. It goes great with anything.
17. Pet's name
Kemo. Pronounced Key-mo. He's an Americam Eskimo dog. Medium size, white
and fluffy. He likes to bark at leaves blowing in the wind.
18. Dad's name
Dad.
19. Height in centimeters
Wha....? Let's see.....ummmm......5'11"......is.....eeerrrrr.... ummm.......
Oh, who cares!
20. Nicknames other than Zippy
Nope. Just Zippy. I thought I might've had a real name at one point in
time, but I was mistaken.
21. Why do you think Wookie's are hairy?
To hide the scars from all the llama bites. Llama bites can be rather
nasty.
22. Where do you live?
North Carolina. And no. I'm not a southerner, redneck, or hick. Anybody
who has met me or talked to me on the phone knows this to be true.
23. Where do you play SW:CCG?
Usually I play at a store called Games Galore in Raleigh, NC. It's got a
big game room in the back that is great for tournaments and gaming in general.
24. Who is your toughest opponent and why?
I have a few that give me a great game everytime I play them. Even if I
lose, it doesn't bother me. I'm not gonna name specific names,
(Redstorm Stu, Faramir, The Watcher, Dark Spies, Rob E., and DS-61-pi)
they are great players and have earned my sincerest respect.
