These interviews are meant to take an interesting look at those in
the SW:CCG community that we know a little about. Hopefully these will
reveal some new things about the people we talk to on the internet.
Well, it has been a while since I have done one of these. I have
really wanted to interview for a while. Thanks for your time.
No problem, I've always wanted to do one of these. Kinda makes me feel
all special inside. :-)
So How did you come up with the name flaming Ewok?
Good question. I THINK I came up with it because I knew I was annoying,
therefore should have an annoying name. After all, what's more annoying
than an Ewok?
What is your favorite Star Wars quote?
I know it's everyone's favorite, but it just shows Luke's natural
ability to whine. "But Uncle Owen, I was going to go into Toshe Station to pick up some
power converters!"
Taste great or less filling?
Definitely tastes great. I never plan on going for a record, you might call me a casual drinker. Besides, it's a lot more fun to watch the
people who get smashed than to actually get smashed.
Favorite non SWCCG hobby?
These darned infernal machines (ie: my Personal Computer)! Gaming takes
up a lot of my non-SWCCG non-real life time.
Where do you go to school?
Portland State University.
What are you studying?
Computer Science.
Goldberg or Hogan?
I have to go with Hogan, as he used to be my favorite when I watched
wrestling. I'll always remember Wrestlemania III, where he beat Andre The Giant.
What is your favorite brewsky? Why?
I like the microbrews we get around here. McMinnimin's Pubs have this
great brew called Terminator. Best tasting beer in town.
Favorite type of music?
I'm a big punk fan. I love bands like Blink 182, Less Than Jake and NOFX. I've been leaning toward more mellow rock recently, though. One of my favorites right now is the U2 greatest hits collection.
If you could make one change to the game, what would it be?
Just one? Dang, ok. I'd like to see space battles be more realistic. The
combat system works great for the ground, but it just doesn't fit for
space battles. I'm sure this would make the game impossible to play or
learn, but it'd be nice if it could be made to work.
What do you think of the EPP's?
I'm all for EPP. Haven't gotten any yet, but it's a great way to get new
players into the game while also providing cards that are useful to
older players.
What do think are the best strategies in SE?
Would you kill me if I said Ops? :-) Really, I like the way that Light Side Tatooine has been strengthened
while being fun to play. Another favorite of mine is Light Side space. Haven't found a dark side deck, other than Dark Deal, and that's not a
great one.
Which SE strategies do you find most fun?
Light Side Tatooine drain decks. Finally a use for vaporators!
So how do you think Vader used the bathroom in that suit anyway?
I have a feeling that it's kinda like a combo of the space shuttle and
an RV, lots of suction followed by a dumping process. Ever see Christmas
Vacation?
What do you think the down points of Special Edition were?
Too many cards that were just different versions of earlier cards, like
Docking And Repair Facility and All Wings Report In.
What card do you think is the spawn of Satan?
Any card that has no use. There are tons of 'em!
What card do you think is a gift from God?
Ardon 'Vapor' Crell. The linchpin of my Farming deck.
Who would win in a celebrity deathmatch, Carrie Fisher or Natalie
Portman?
Portman has youth going for her, but then Fisher toughened by all that
drug rehab. The deciding factor, though, is the hair. With the hair buns
Fisher has the advantage of not having to worry what her hair is doing
so she can focus on kicking butt.
Favorite scene from the movies?
The battle of Hoth. I loved the action.
Have you seen the Prequel trailer? If so please tell me what you
thought of it.
I thought it was great! Just enough to tease us without giving away the
plot. I'm really interested in learning about all the characters, like
that computer animated guy with the ears.
What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
African or European? Heh. I always liked the Frenchies the best.
