Rebel Commander

So you've been looking for a non-unique Rebel Leader? Look no further.

At power 1, ability 1 and having a destiny of 2, deploy of 3 to forfeit 2, these non-unique rebel leaders are not prime deck material. While they do add 1 to forfeit of other non-leader rebels, this was not a good enough reason to play with them. But then Special Edition came around.

Now we have Dantooin Base Ops (DBO), Bothans, and entrenchment. These three cards have breathed a bit of life into these cards. The entrenchment DBO. Throw in Mon Motha's ability to pull non-unique rebels, and it become quite effective.

Of course, these weaklings won't do you much good in battle, so you will need something to back them up. this is where their +1 to forfeit is nice. There are several non-leader rebels with decent power and great forfeit. Plus 1 to that isn't going to hurt. Of course, it won't help take your opponent out either!

But DBO helps a bit by adding 2 to the DS deploy cost. Throw in Goo Net Tay, and the big nasty Imperials are going to have a tough time deploying to Dantooine to cause any real trouble without gathering their forces before they strike.

So if you need them, they are there. But you might want to think about other options before going this rout.
