Out of Commission

With all the new dark Side retrieval, this card has become my new best friend! As a destiny 5 used, it is already on my list of good cards to have in your deck. But Out of Commission does something else very to go with it, remove cards from play.

When I first saw this card, I did not realize its power. It was not until I read the new glossary that its full power made me nearly wince. Let me quote that entry:

"When a unique character, starship or vehicle is placed out of play, all personas representing that card (including any starship permanent pilot) may not be deployed for the rest of the game." Now of course we knew that characters removed from play via Noble Sacrifice could not be redeployed, but how strong is this!?!

So this does two nice things:
1)It reduces the amount of cards that the dark Side can retrieve and
2)It has the ability to remove big nasties from play.

So you're saying, "Ah... no big deal!" That is right before you drop EPP vader (with no immunity) down and battle. He is forfeited and then a few turns later, your opponent, playing Out of Commission like mad, places Vader out of play. No more Vader! Meanwhile, those destiny 5 used interrupts begin to clump together as more stuff is deployed. High destiny is a grand thing!

Out of Commision can really hurt Ops decks as well as other retrieval decks that use such cards as Abyssian Ornament and Short Range Fighters.

So my advice? Use 'em if you got 'em!
