Deploy on a cloud sector (limit to 1 per sector). Force you activate may be drawn into hand (1 per turn per floating refineries on table). Each cloud sector or gas miner drawn in this way may be revealed to retrieve 2 force.
This destiny 4 device fits nicely into cloud decks, particularly a Bespin Cloud deck. Combined with Chyler, Refineries can be a wonderful asset to the Dark Side player both offensively and defensively.
Bespin allows Floating Refineries to be exploited for the most value. This is mainly because of the need for Chyler to use the Refineries to their full potential. Chyler adds +1 to force drains at CC clouds where Refineries are present. With Gasboys working their magic too and the ground force drain bonus from the clouds, the force drain bonus' are crazy.
The refinery is also an interesting defensive tool as well. It is like a Hypodronics station for the clouds and someone counters the "pay 1 to draw" on the back side of Hidden Base (although, if your going up against hidden base, you could have a heck of a fight in the clouds).
The interesting thing is that any cloud sector or miner drawn this way can be revealed and you can retrieve 2 force. How nice. The two cards required to make a cloud deck just happen to be the cards needed for the retrieval to work. So not only could you draw 3 cards before your deploy phase, there's the potential to retrieve up to 6 force depending on what you draw.
So join the mining guild. Gas mining just became more profitable.
