Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith

While I was worried that having a new Vader would degrade the one from Premiere, I was pleased to see the new Darth Persona did not make the other obsolete, nor was this one terrible either. And the image of Darth (from the Cloud City Carbonite Chamber, with touches of the orange and blue we loved so from Cloud City) is incredible.

Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith allows you to target an opponent's character present during a battle. Draw destiny. Target is "choked" (lost) if destiny > than ability. Immune to attrition < 5. He also keeps the same basic stats: same deploy, forfeit, power and ability as the earlier persona.

So why play with Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith? With the increase in low ability character decks, it has become easier to draw a destiny that would be an easy target. Who wouldn't want to choke one of the audience chamber reps like Herat or what about Tessek? Feeling lucky? Take a shot at EPP Han. Throw in A Dark Path to guarantee strangulation!

According to the new rules, this action takes place during the weapons phase of the game. So choke the little guy and then save the saber swing for someone a little better. And the best part is that character is immediately lost. He essentially can use two "weapons" in battle. How nice!

It's good that Vader retained the +3 tpiloting ability and immunity to attrition, but he isn't the original. Adding one to each battle destiny is just too much to pass up for the new Darth. But packing in a copy of this persona could be handy, especially if Grimtaash shows it's ugly face!

While I still maintain that this Darth should have focused on Dueling, I think the new Vader will be very powerful and I'm certain he will pop up in many a game.
