"Palpatine"

by Aniolek

To be sang to the tune of "Clementine".

In the Throne Room, on a Death Star, watching all his plots entwined,
Sat the master of Dark Jedi, Emperor named Palpatine.

Oh, our leader, glorious leader, Emperor named Palpatine,
You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry, Palpatine.

Frail he was, with flesh like zombie's, a black cape suit him just fine.
With no hair that needed combing, very old was Palpatine.

Oh, our leader, glorious leader, Emperor named Palpatine,
You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry, Palpatine.

Pitting son against his father, hoping Luke would cross the line.
"You have failed" laughed the young Jedi, angry then was Palpatine.

Oh, our leader, glorious leader, Emperor named Palpatine,
You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry, Palpatine.

Luke was crawling shocked by lightning, death was sentence for the crime.
But alas, betrayed by Vader, to his death fell Palpatine.

Oh, our leader, glorious leader, Emperor named Palpatine,
You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry, Palpatine.

The destruction of the Death Star was to many a good sign.
We, who humbly called him Master, mourned the loss of Palpatine.

Oh, our leader, glorious leader, Emperor named Palpatine,
You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry, Palpatine.
