
In April, 2006, at the Virginia
Beach National, Cody gave me the thrill of a lifetime
competing in Veteran Obedience at almost 14 years of
age. That in itself was a proud moment, however,
10 months before, Cody was rush to emergency for
collapsing with a ruptured disk. He was operated
on and came home about 8 days after surgery in a prone
position. I was totally amazed at the inner
strength this dog had first in trying to walk and then
working in hydro therapy. His insistence that he
needed to get back to normal was amazing and I was so
thrilled to stand beside him as he competed in the
National. Below is a copy of an action shot
during that competition.

Cody and I
started doing Obedience in 2000 and he finished his Novice Obedience
title in 5 shows.
