FOURTH GENERATION

François Baudouin IV Born ?, died February 6, 1802. Husband of Rosalie Rome (?-1810)(daughter of Jean Baptiste Rommel and Marguerite Huber):
Jean Baptiste I have no details on this individual. the only record I have of Jean Baptiste is included in the note below regarding military service during the War of 1812.
Marie born 1792, married to Jean Lavergne
Silvain, born 1790, married to Charlotte Belsom
Telesphore, born 1794, married to Melicerte Toups
Honorè, born 1796, married to Dorothee Champagne
François V, born 1802, I have no details on this individual. Rosalie was pregnant when François IV died in 1802. Some records indicate that he died in 1829, but I have no record of a wife or any descendants.

Note: In "Louisiana Soldiers in the War of 1812" by John Bennett Pierson, Jean Baptiste, Silvain,Telesphore, and Honorè are listed as members of the 5th Regiment, 1st Division of the Louisiana MIlitia. They served between December, 1814 through March, 1815. They are also included in the internet listing at http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgwenweb/la/la1812/la1812b.txt I don't know whether or where this unit actually saw action during the Battle of New Orleans.

Silvain and Honorè apparently resettled in Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes. Their descendants dropped the final "u" and today today use the spelling Baudoin.
I don't WANT to know too much about Honorè, because I'm related to the Champagnes on my mother's side. Talk about a shallow gene pool! On top of that, Telesphore remarried into the Toups family.

FIFTH GENERATION FORWARD

I descend directly from Telesphore, but at this point the lineage grows quite large, and as I mentioned, there's no real reason to repost what's already available to you. Here are a couple of links containing extensive data regarding our family:
Janice Chatelain, a distant cousin, has published quite a bit of family lineage at her site: Ancestors of Janice Chatelain

St. John Parish LaGenWeb Project also has quite a bit on various German Coast families. You can find them at St. John Parish LaGenWeb Project
