The Memphis Animal Shelter took in 12,230 dogs in 2002.
The sad fact is 74% of the dogs that end up in the Memphis Animal Shelter
die. Spaying and neutering are slowly reducing the number of stray animals.
In 1998 the Memphis Animal Shelter euthanized 13,397 dogs and cats. In
1997 they took in 16,831. If you are not sure if you should or can't afford

Responsible Animal Owners of Tennessee -
BECAUSE LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH when it comes to owning animals, our goal is to promote responsible
animal stewardship through a variety of programs, including a rescue network, puppy and adult
obedience training, search dog units, therapy units, educational materials, a breeder referral
program, various seminars and numerous other services in Tennessee.
Emergency Dog Links - This Award-winning ( ! ) public service page has been brought
to your attention by someone who cares about you, and knows that the safety and well-being
of dogs are important to you. At first glance, this may smack of corniness, but imagine for
a moment that a dog you know or love is (Heaven Forbid!) lost, or ill, or injured, or poisoned.
Would you know what to do?
SaveAPet.net - The purpose of SaveAPet.Net is to
simplify the process of finding and adopting pets. Our intention is to bring together
all of the greater Nashville area's pet adoption resources under one virtual roof.
