SriSri Prabhu Jagadbandhu Ashram of Barasat, West Bengal was founded in 1958 (year 1364 in Bengali calendar). This means that the ashram has been in operation for the past 42 years. SriSri Premdas Brahmachari and SriSri Gopibandhu Brahmachari used to congregate here with SriSri Bandhubilas Brahmachari and many other brahmacharis and devotees of Jagadbandhusundar from Calcutta and its suburbs and all parts of West Bengal and India, for continuous Mahanam Kirtan Festivals on many occasions. After Bandhubilasji departed from the earth in the month of April in 1975 (4th Baisakh, 1382 in Bengali calendar), the ashram has been running under the trustee board appointed by late Bandhubilas Brahmachari. The priest of the ashram is Sri Bejoy Das at the present time who is a senior brahmacahri. Bandhubilasji's nephew Sri Sankar Bandhu Das has also been very active in the continuity and maintenance of the activities of the ashram todate.
