"Welcome to the Potting Shed"

People were bringing little children
to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples
rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said
to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not
hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom
of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took
the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
Mark 10:13-16

When she was a baby, we once described our older daughter as "growing like a weed",
and were quickly corrected by her pediatrician, who compared
her instead to a rare and beautiful flower.... And so she is!
And her sister is too.
You know, if you're a gardener, that weeds will grow up
just any old place; they're tough and tolerant, and can withstand
harsh conditions and neglected out of the way places
-- but to create a garden of beautiful flowers requires
cultivation. It takes a great deal of attention and dedication
on the part of the gardener for them to reach their
fullest potential, and so it is with children. May the Lord
forever keep this before our minds, as we seek to do His will
in raising the little ones He has entrusted to our care. May
we always see them as He does....
As for our children, here is their own special place on the
web, where they can "pot up" a few projects of their own! Their page
includes information about themselves, their pets, their cyber-adoptions,
and the projects they are working on in our homeschool. We
hope you will enjoy their interests and their efforts.
Just click on the door to enter....
