Bad Street to Challenge Christopher & SpellBinder

It has been announced that Shane Helms and Shannon Moore will receive a title match with the NWA North American Champions Brian "Too Sexy" Christopher & SpellBinder on May 22, 1999 in Fairview, TN! Helms and Moore, as part of The Bad Street Boys, have been very successful in the rings of NWA Worldwide. In a recent interview, both Helms and Moore acknowledged that they were heavily favored to lose the match-up, but they also noted that overcoming odds is what Bad Street is all about!

Shane Helms & Shannon Moore defeated Shane Eden & Frenchy Riveria (Ladies Night Out).
Joey Matthews & Christian York defeated Ashley Hudson & Cory Williams (The New South).

During the Matthews-York/New South match up, SpellBinder interfered by pushing York off the top rope. This prompted Helms & Moore to come down and get involved. Then Ladies Night Out joined the ruckus only to be countered by several other wrestlers from both locker rooms.

Shane Helms -vs- Shannon Moore!

Due to scheduling conflicts at a recent show for NWA Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, Bad Street Boys Shane Helms and Shannon Moore had to face off in one-on-one competition against each other. The match was super fast and left referee Tony Hunter gasping as he had to administer an amazing 21 near-falls! However, the match was ruled a draw when the time-limit expired. After the match, Helms and Moore shook hands to a standing ovation!

The Bad Street Boys face The New South!

Shane Helms and Shannon Moore were very anxious to get their hands on The New South (Cory Williams & Ashley Hudson) and the match was all Bad Street in the early goings as both Helms & Moore executed suicide dives to the outside on Williams & Hudson. The New South mounted a brutal comeback until Helms hit Hudson with a standing Frankensteiner. Helms tagged in Moore who came in to do a little house cleaning which included a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors on Williams which sent Williams to the floor. Helms, meanwhile had taken Hudson to the outside as well and the two were trading blows, completely ignoring the referee who had followed them. With the referee paying attention to Helms and Hudson, Williams grabbed a chair, ran back into the ring, and threw the chair to Moore who caught it and watched as Williams just fell to the canvas. The referee came back into the ring, saw Williams laying, saw Moore with the chair, and immediately disqualified The Bad Street Boys! Moore, who had never touched Williams with the chair, went into a frenzy as did the crowd who appeared close to rioting.

Immediately following this match an Over-the-Top Bunkhouse Battle Royal took place and The Bad Street Boys and The New South wasted no time in going after each other. Competitor after competitor was eliminated until only four men were left and as fate would have it they were Helms, Moore, Williams and Hudson. While the referee was with Hudson and Moore, Williams threw Helms to the floor but not over the top rope, which is the only way to be eliminated. However, the referee saw Helms on the floor and told him to go to the back. Williams, who was taunting Helms, stuck his hand in Helms face, which allowed Helms to grab him and drag him over the top to the floor. This left only Hudson and Moore, but Moore was in bad shape. However Helms was refusing to leave ringside until Williams left, so Hudson got up and starting yelling at Helms which gave Moore the opportunity to dropkick Hudson over the top for the win! Helms, who was taken to the locker room didn't even see that Williams had ran back in and along with Hudson and the near 400 lb. Frenchy Rivera ambushed Shannon.

Shane Helms defeated Vic Violent.
Shannon Moore defeated UWA Battle Arts Champion Willow the Whisp in a non-title matchup.
Shane Helms and Shannon Moore defeated Shane Eden and The Red-Headed Stepchild Chad Hawke.

After the matchup with Eden & Hawke, The New South (Cory Williams & Ashley Hudson) made their way to the ring and challenged Helms and Moore to a match right then and there. This was just to distract Helms and Moore because The SpellBinder was sneaking up behind The Bad Street Boys. Helms and Moore turned around and caught sight of SpellBinder only to be jumped from behind by Hudson & Williams. Helms and Moore fought The New South and SpellBinder off until the WWF's "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher ran in and joined in on the attack on Helms & Moore. The Bad Street Boys were hit with several chair shots and had to be assisted back to the dressing room!
