NOTE: DON'T TRY TO SKATE SANDY SP AFTER A RAINSTORM! We visited after several days of rain to learn that all the rain and gravel from the road next to the park, washes down the hill and into the park. Even after the rain drys up, the park is full of mud and gravel, you can only skate around the edges. I guess there are some volunteers that usually keep this mess cleaned up but when we visited, they hadn't bothered yet since the forcast was calling for more rain the next day.

Misc: Because this park is so fast and has so many different lines, COLLISIONS ARE A BIG POSSIBILITY! I saw many close calls and one collison-my 15 year old son plowed down the little girl pictured here, bruising her and scaring both of them. Lots of things to catch air off of, not much to grind. This park is actually built on the Middle school's property. No drinking fountain, although a very nice mystery someone sometimes maintains a large igloo-cooler-drink container, for all to use. One iffy porta-potty. I wouldn't bring small or inexperienced kids here, it's too dangerous because of the speed and lines the good skaters are ripping. If you choose to bring young or inexperienced skaters to any skateboarding park, please try and finish before noon.
