FASTER 5’s Portable MX Practice Starting Gate originated in November 2003 and was designed to make it quick and easy for motocross riders/racers to practice their starts anywhere at anytime. Most riders will agree that a great start is the first key to winning races. With this in mind, FASTER 5, Inc. has made it possible for any rider/racer to master their start reaction time and start technique.

The gate is constructed of 1/8 x 1-inch steel and is very durable. With a weight of only 15 pounds, this folding gate is very compact which makes it easy to stow away and transport. The gate and its components are manually activated and uncomplicated which makes it very reliable and affordable as well. The Gate has three start height positions which allows for adjustment to resemble the gate height of any particular gate a rider/racer may be starting from on any given race track. It can be set up and secured easily for dirt or concrete starts.

The Portable Gate gives the rider the feel of a real start scenario. The gate is designed to not only look exactly like a regulation starting gate; it drops like a regulation gate as well. We have also incorporated a 30-second board, which gives the rider the feel of anticipation before the gate drops.

Since development, the gate has been tested over 1000 times by numerous riders. It is currently being used by Shawn Kalos Racing Techniques and Steve Lamson Motocross School to help their students perfect their starts. Both of these motocross champions highly endorse the Portable Practice Gate.
