Perumpoikayil Thadathil branch is one of the four sub branches of the Puthuparambil branch originating from Okanda the second son of Puthuparambil Chandy (3rd generation). Okanda had four sons and the families from all four flourished substantially. Hence the early fathers considered all these four sub branches under separate names. The history of the 'Perumpoikayil Thadathil' branch starts from Koruth, the second son of Okanda, who moved from Puthuparambil locality and settled in the Velliyara Perumpoikayil thadathil property. Koruth married Kurukayil Annamma from Thalavadi and had one son and 3 daughters.
