The history of the 'Varikanikuzhy' branch starts from Perumal, the eldest son of Puthuparambil Chandy's first marriage. He started his life in Parel Valikkapurayidom with his wife Annamma and 2 sons and one daughter. In a few years his wife died and he remarried without any issues. Later they bought the Chuzhikunnil property and moved there. Perumal's sons, Chandy and Ippa were both great farmers.
