Capture Settings

Hi8 recording on Sony Handicam of STS-107 launch on
January 16, 2003 via Dish Network Channel 213.
Video runs from T-15 seconds to just after SRB separation.

Dumped to Dell laptop (600 mHz P3) via Dazzle DVC-80 USB converter
and captured with bundled MGI Videowave 4 software.
(320x240 resolution and YUV2 settings)

Processed with Virtualdub version 1.4.13

Video Settings

Resize - 304x228
Filter Mode - Bicubic
Cropping - x1-2, x2-6, y1-5, y2-5 = (308x230)
Rotate - Right 90º
Frame Rate - Decimate by 2 (15fps)
Codec - DivX 5.0.2 (2-pass)

Audio Settings

Sampling - 22050kHz, High Quality, 16 bit, stereo
Compression - MPEG 3, 24kbits/s, 22050 Hz, mono

Results

Filesize - 6.77 Mb (7,108,608 bytes) - 2 minutes 55 seconds runtime.
Played on Dell Axim X5 using PocketMVP software with zero dropped frames.
