Some investors feel more confident about a stock if there's strong institutional
holdings in it. I for one tend to temper that notion since all too often fund 
managers seem no better at picking winners than common, ordinary investors. Fund 
goals and policies may differ from individual goals and policies. None-the-less, 
I have sifted through the top 10 holdings of several major, better known funds 
out of curiosity.

My choices were made on personal name recognition and curiosity NOT ON FINANCIAL
PERFORMANCE OR FUTURE POTENTIAL! Data is derived from sources believed to be 
accurate and reliable but may be out-dated and funds may be rethinking their 
strategy at this very moment; particularly since funds tend to report and 
conduct business on a quarterly basis rather than a daily basis.

NOTE:

The big change I've noticed since I last surveyed these funds back in January is that CISCO SYSTEMS seems to have disappeared from fund holdings altogether while WELLS FARGO, GENERAL ELECTRIC, PFIZER and EXXON MOBIL seem to be the new favorites. MICROSOFT and WAL-MART STORES, of course, are still strongly represented. "Freddie Mac" and "Fanny Mae" are also currently popular with these funds. "Freddie Mac" stands for FEDERAL HOME LOAN MORTGAGE CORPORATION (FRE) and "Fannie Mae" stands for FEDERAL NATIONAL MORTGAGE ASSOCIATION (FNM).
