Roadways
Carretera Nacional (National Highway #85)

The principal means of transportation with the rest of the state and nation is the National Highway #85 (Mexico City - Nuevo Laredo), connecting the municipalities of Villa de Santiago, Montemorelos, Hualahuises and Linares.
Carretera Cadereyta-Allende (Federal Highway #9)
Federal Highway #9 connects the cities of Allende and Cadereyta, passing through towns such as Los Sabinos, Atongo de Abajo, El Barranquito, y Las Palmas.
Churches
San Pedro Apostol (Saint Peter the Apostle)
The Temple of Saint Peter was first erected in 1857.
With Saint Peter the Apostle as its patron, the local parrish received authorization in 1868. The original design of latin architecture was never finished; only two-thirds of the principal plans were accomplished.
The dome, originally with only four small windows, was remodeled in the 1940's to include several larger windows on each of its faces.
Nuestra Senora de la Luz (Our Lady of the Light)
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Light is located in the Sierra de la Silla range, located near the Hacienda Los Guzman.
Mountains

The Sierra de la Silla range, symbol of the city of Monterrey and the state of Nuevo Leon, actually originates in this municipality. It is a misconception that the Cerro de la Silla is isolated, since it is only but a peak in this small range.
Rivers
Arroyo Lazarillos (Lazarillos Stream)

The Lazarillos Stream serves as the municipal border between Allende and Cadereyta Jimenez.
Rio Ramos (Ramos River)

The source of the Ramos River is located in the Sierra Madre Oriental in the municipality of Allende. Its serves as the municipal limit with Montemorelos. It feeds into the San Juan River in the municipality of Cadereyta.
Agriculture

The cultivation of oranges has given rise to agro-industries such as packers, juice processing, etc. in which oranges are exported, juices processed for concentrates, and aromatics are created with the orange peels.

Activities resulting from the orange cultivation include: cleaning and maintaining the land, fumigation, fruit picking, transport to processing plants or market, packaging and selecting choice fruit, etc., generating jobs and an economy for the citrus region of the state of Nuevo Leon.
The state and federal agencies have supported the citrus workers, supplying orange trees, fertilizers, agricultural insurance, finance, machinery, etc.
Livestock

With reference to aviculture, the citrus zone stands above the rest in the production of eggs and chickens, with chicken ranches of the best infrastructure and premium birds.
With respect to apiculture, Allende is also the largest producer of high quality bee honey. It is exported to the United States and Japan.
