Steve Roper - Bass / Vocals / Harmonica

Steve has played in various D.C. area classic rock and jazz fussion bands over the past 15-plus years. Using a one-of-kind custom all-tube bass amplifier, Steve achieves a bass tone with authoritative low end plus rich and round mid and high frequencies. Upon joining 3rd Degree in 2004, the band recognized his vocal abilities and encouraged him to add songs of his choice. Steve's treatment of classics such as Mustang Sally and Roll Over Beethoven conveys the feel and soul of the early rock and roll artists, and has added a new dimension to the band.

Scott DiNorma - Saxophones

Scott has got to be one of D.C.'s best kept secrets. He is fluid on both tenor and soprano saxes. (Baritone too, so I hear.) Scott can rip on a solo like 'Trane. But what really sets him apart from most sax players is how he accompanies the band with parts that are tasteful and appropriate to the song. Sometimes that means playing a riff. Other times Scott will lay way back and softly play one of the chord tones causing it to blend with the other instruments. It is almost subliminal, but it really adds an airy fullness to the music without being obtrusive. You can find more about Scott at http://www.smdmusic.com
