I've been painting just about every day. I recently painted several still lifes, a couple that were teeny tiny, maybe good for a "mini" show. Also have done several boat paintings and some new beach scenes. I've been experimenting with different surfaces as well. I really like a smooth surface like gessoed matboard or birch panels, both have a really nice feel to them. Here is some new work The Dunes that is based on the enormous, ski mogul sized dunes located around 12th Street in Barnegat Light at the north end of Long Beach Island. I urge you to check them out in person, they are awesome. New Jersey shore beach scenes are something I really enjoy. They are really calming to view. Just started working on some powerful wave action , definitely not as calming.
