My position on the issues is (Check appropriate column): 1. Education Tax Relief: Tax Relief for educational expenses
should be available to families to help send their children to any available
K-12 school, including church-affiliated schools. 2. No Tax Dollars for Abortion: Taxpayers' dollars should
not be used to pay for abortions or to support organizations that provide
or promote abortion.
3. Dealth Penalty/Juvenile Exemption: Consistent with
federal law, juveniles who commit crimes when they are under the age of 18
should be exempt from the death penalty.
4. Alternatives to Incarceration: Missouri should
promote alternatives to incarceration for non-violent offenders.
5. Immigrants/Basic Services: Basic state services such
as drivers' licenses and public education should be available to all persons
legally in the country, regardless of citizenship status.
6. Farmland Protection: Public policy should discourage
commercial and residential development of farmland.
7. Life Science/Research Parameters: The state should
prohibit all human cloning and research practices that destroy human embryos
for their tissue or stem cells.
8. Regulate Consumer Lending: State law should
regulate interest rates charged by payday, title, and second mortgage
lenders, and check-cashing businesses.
9. Concealed Weapons Ban: Missouri should continue to
ban the carrying of concealed weapons.
10. Transitional Welfare Benefits: The state should
provide transitional benefits for individuals moving from public welfare
to work such as job training and child care.
