Woody's story is still incomplete . . . . .
Woody first came to our attention when he was abandoned by his owners in Durham, North Carolina. A neighbour noticed the dog hanging around a baseball field for several days - apparently, the owners had moved and left the pets behind - Woody, the irish setter, and a cat.
They were rescued by the neighbour, and fostered by a friend, and slowly nursed back to health. In late July, Judy Britt offered to foster Woody for awhile and made the drive to Durham to get Woody. He's been with her since then, and is learning to trust people again. Woody is almost ready to go to his new home, with a family in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
