| Buddy is a young (probably around a year old), male irish setter who was surrendered by his owner in the Concord, North Carolina area.
The Humane Society contacted Irish Setter rescue as they felt that we would be the best chance for Buddy finding a permanent home. |

Buddy's availability was posted to the SETTERS-L list on the internet, and almost immediately, Patty Ruff volunteered to retrieve him from the shelter, and foster him.
Patty rescued Buddy from the shelter, and quickly made arrangements to have him neutered. Patty's latest update on Buddy says:

| Hi all, Thought you might like some news on the "foster" boy I have. Finally he has settled down. He did great with my other dogs. (I have 5!) and seems to find the cats interesting, but not obsessed with them (thank goodness for him!) He can't be left alone yet. He barks like crazy and won't settle down afterwards. Works himself into a frenzy. (He does crate well, though) It's really sad! Obviously he's attention starved. He stays quite calm though when he's with someone. Seems to have taken to my husband. Slept next to him in bed all night. Maybe that's because my little boy, Finny was next to me! :) He's eating like a horse. (You can see his hip bones he's so skinny!) And has NO manners when we eat! Just helps himself! :) |  |

My husband has been working with him on some commands too. We think he's learning his name. And he sometimes sits when asked. That off thing is taking him awhile though. He took right to the furniture. Just like the rest of our dogs! :) Is currently sleeping on the floor next to me. He raises his head every few minutes just to make sure I'm still there. Then it's back to sleep. On his back! It's too cute! I have decided he's got to be a year or younger. He's just too puppyish! I got some pictures in FINALLY!
