I never meant to hurt you I just got caught up in your love your intensity in wanting me helped me forget what I dream of and it was so good with you you gave me everything you could the only thing you did that made me feel bad was that you were simply too good dreams don't go away but people do dreams will not let go they come back to haunt you if you forget them they make you regret them dreams don't go away when people do dreams will not let go you don't have to remember they will remind you when you least expect them to I was struggling with the daily grind trying to survive and keep my mind dollar bills and life's expense doesn't alwas make much sense but I want to eat today so I've got to find a way and as I'm tossing between sleep trying not to sleep too deep into worry and despair I find promises I did not keep and wonder if you care I wonder where you are and if any part of me is still there dreams don't go away but people do dreams will not let go they come back to haunt you if you forget them they make you regret them dreams don't go away when people do dreams will not let go you don't have to remember they will remind you when you least expect them to I look around at life and games I play the story of my life is disarray and as my mind calls you there's not much I can say we can't go back and replay yesterday but how I wish I had a friend like you today I wish I had a friend like you today dreams don't go away I wish I had a friend like you today Dreams Don't Go Away Ric Candor ©2000 BACK THE SHARI INDEX GARDENS OF ONES NEXT  EMAIL
