I watch children play
to understand
how life should be
how it was planned

I watch children love
to help me see
that there is hope
for humanity

I watch children laugh
and in their eyes
I understand
who's really wise

I watch children cry
and in their tears
I understand
most of my fears

I watch children fight
and then forgive
so I can remember
how I should live

I watch children sleep
we are so small
and in our dreams
we know it all
