please find some hope for yourself
and here is my hope for you

please don't be afraid to tell me
what you're really feeling inside
I care about you and you may not know me
but I feel the tears you've cried

I've cried lonely tears
my heart has been broken
I've been left for dead
by promises mis-spoken

but I won't give up hope
and that's all there is to it
it brings me happiness
but I've got to do it

so here is my hope for Christmas
and every day of the year
please send a word, open your heart
put aside all doubt or fear

and believe somebody does care
