This is some miscellaneous A/V information.
Newer remotes use 4-digit device codes. Just add 0 to the front of the codes above (0000 for Sony TV.)
Some notes on how to find Magic codes, and re-programming keys on your OneForAll remote.
Check out the information on the Remotes Home Page on using the JP1 connector, and lists of codes.
Sony KV-30XBR910 (and related 34XBR910, xxHS510, xxHS420
and 34XBR960):
Here is an Excel spreadsheet,
originally by NTN1, that lists all of the Service Menu entries
with some defined.
If you have a JP1 capable remote, here is a KeymapMaster file
using an upgrade code of 1000 (reworking of code 0000). It includes
codes for many special functions, like DRC, Video mode, Vid 7,
etc..:
Sony1000.TXT
Motorola DCT-5100, 6200, 6208 and 6412 cable boxes:
If you have one of the above cable boxes and a JP1 capable remote,
this Keymap Master file upgrade code of 1493 (reworking of code
0476) includes many of the new DVR functions:
Motorola_DCT-6412.txt (this
version is set up as Cable, with keymaps for transport controls)
Motorola_DCT-6412B.txt (this
version is setup as PVR and uses less macro/keymap memory, but
Volume lock will not work and will require keymaps. You still
save a few bytes overall)
I've also found my 6412 responds to the following standard keys:
Left-arrow = Rewind
Right-arrow = FastForward
Up-Arrow = Play/Pause
Down-Arrow = Live
Page down = 15 second Replay

Here is a big Excel sheet set up with all the technical details of my cable system. It contains the channels, their frequences, and QAM level. It calculates the standard analog equivalent channel based on the frequency. You can modify it for your system, then sort it different ways to see just how channels are allocated, how many digital channels are squashed together, etc... (updated 4/5/07)
