This program analyzes reinforced concrete columns for biaxial bending in
accordance with the provisions of the AASHTO and ACI Codes for Working Stress,
Service Load, and Load Factor designs. AASHTO seismic provisions for
biaxial bending are also implemented in the program. The Code (AASHTO or
ACI) and design method are selected from within the program. Both
compression and tension axial loads may be used. Input loads are combined
into the group load combinations in accordance with the Code or custom rules,
depending on the user's choice. If selected, the program magnifies design
moments in accordance with the Code provisions for approximate slenderness
effect evaluation.
Ø Both solid and hollow columns are implemented in the program. Four column and void shapes are available: rectangular, circular, semi-circular, and polygon. Any column shape may be combined with any void shape.
Ø Up to 3 layers of reinforcement with a maximum of 100 bars each may be specified.
Ø Interaction diagram and section plot utilities are integrated in the program.
