The Cahill Family John Cahill was born about 1798 in Galway Ireland.  He died in 1882 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
The Compton Family   William Compton died about 1780.  His son, Baner, died about 1818 in Adair, County, Kentucky.  Some descendants went to Illinois, then Missouri.
The Cross-Duncan Family Priscilla Evans married Banard Cross in Illinois in 1836.  After he died, she married Robert Duncan in 1847.  In 1871, Priscilla moved to Missouri along with some of her children.  Another branch settled in Texas.  This is a pretty thorough record of her descendants.

The Johnson Family George Johnson married Unknown Higgins.   Their son was John, born 1841 in Ireland.  He died in 1905 in Iowa.   Family tradition says that the Johnson's were thrown out of Ireland for being out-laws or trouble-makers.
The Nellist Family Are there any Nellists out there?  I haven't been able to discover much about this family, and would appreciate some input.   They were from England, lived in Canada for a while, and then came to settle in Iowa.
