UPDATE: May 20, 2007

Hi Alexa! Just wanted to give you an update. Rocco is doing really well. He
got his adult shots recently. We had to re-glue Rocco's ears again because he
got one of them loose today. Besides that, all is well. Rocco loves to play
with the whole family but still gets jealous when my older dog Bonsai comes to
give me attention. It's rather humorous actually. The dogs also taunt
eachother with toys all the time. Rocco has learned "sit" and "drop". We're
working on "stay" now. Rocco is also doing much better with cats. He doesn't
bark as much as he used to and just ignores that cats. His coat is becoming
progressively darker everyday. We're so excited that he's getting a coat like
his daddy. I will send you new pictures soon.

UPDATE: May 31, 2007
Hi! Just a little update for you. I've been busy working at the clinic. Mike
is going to be doing his orientation at the zoo this Thursday. Rocco is doing
really well. He has shake learned now. He's really a rascle. Constant energy
until he just drops from exhaustion. He's learned fetch and plays when ever
we'll throw something for him. He is also getting along better with Bonsai.
I've attached a photo of them for you. Rocco keeps getting his ears un-glued,
but we just keep putting them back on. It's almost a game now. He sits pretty
well for Mike and I to get his ears done.
Rocco went to the vet I work for and got a clean bill of health and his adult
s hots. Everyone at the clinic thinks he's adorable and quite handsome. His
coat is getting darker. He still has his puppy ruff around his neck, but every
where else is looking beautiful. He's started loosing his puppy teeth and has
been chewing like mad. He's also taken to bringing me my shoe from downstairs.
We're still working with him on his tendency to bark at everything. A little
spritz of water usually does the trick. That's all for now. I'll update you
again soon.

UPDATE: June 8, 2007

Rocco is doing really well. He's adjusted to our house and is quite the
character. He has learned sit, shake, lay down, and sit-pretty. I'm working on
giving him some leash manners right now. He's pretty strong willed, but does
learn quickly. We can't seem to get him to keep his ears glued down. He just
scratched the fur right off his head. But we're trying none the less. Rocco
and Bonsai are getting along pretty well. Bonsai tolerates Rocco, but there
are still a lot of jealousy issues. They tease eachother all the time. There
have been a few tiffs, but nothing serious.
Rocco has his adult shot s, and I ended up getting everything free from the
clinic I work at. I only had to pay for Heartguard and Frontline and they gave
that to me at cost. I got all of my paperwork back from the AKC. We decided to
call his "Allie's Rock and a Hard Place". Mainly because it made me giggle to
no end. : )
Mike starts work at the zoo on Monday, and I've been working at the clinic for
about a month now. Everything is great and Rocco makes the perfect addition to
our family. I hope everything is going well for your family. I'll update to
again soon.

UPDATE: August 16, 2007

Hello.
Mike and I have moved into our new apt. in Ames, IA. Rocco is liking
being top dog. He loves to try to play with the cat, but always gets put in
his place. We're planning on neutering Rocco in early November. I want to wait
until he is 9 months old, if that's okay. My vet and I disccused it and came
to the concenses that we wanted him to be able to mature enough so he won't
have problems with urethra blockage in his later years. Let me know if you'd
prefer to have my neuter him sooner. As soon as he's neutered I'll send you a
copy of his Neuter Certificate. Other than that, I'm working in a research lab
at ISU studying MPS in mice, dogs, and cats. Mike is working at the University
Bookstore and all is well. Until next time... bye!

UPDATE: October 10, 2007

Boy, have we been busy! And Rocco is getting bigger and furrier! He's standing
approximately 16.5 inches at the shoulder and is about 22lbs. All's going well
with him. We got a new cat recently and he is Rocco's soul mate. They love to
play with eachother and Rocco gives Jay kisses all the time. They're adorable.
So, has Satie been bred yet? We've thought about another puppy and were kind
of curious as to her statis. We couldn't be more happy with our Rocco puppy!
I've attached a more recent picture of Roc for you. He is sure starting to
look like his daddy! Hope all is well!
