Mandy
Mandy was born 12/15/05 @ 10:29pm. She is a Sable and White female. Mandy has a full white collar and a very adorable amount of white on her face.
The above shot was taken by her new owner..... Gary of Omaha, Nebraska. Make sure to check back on Mandy and see how things are going.
UPDATE: 1/27/06
Hi Alexa,
Mandy had no problem with the ride home. What surprised me was that when she got here she didn't take long to walk right into her cage and go to sleep. Her biggest adventure was going outside to go potty. There were so many distractions for her to investigate!
She didn't eat much yesterday but she ate well this morning. She really likes my shoelaces, too.
I think her name will be just "Mandy" but we'll add the "Jo" when we're mad at her.

Hi,
Thanks for the fast response on Mandy's shots.
She's sleeping **great** at night. We only have to get up once, sometimes twice, at night. She's very happy to spend time with us. The only challenge is that she likes to grab at anything within reach, including pants and shoes. I'm sure she'll grow out of that. (Yes, she has lots of chew toys and likes them, she just likes pants and shoes more!)
We're familiar with the vet because that's the vet Michael visited with Missy, his former Sheltie.
Before I forget...hope everything goes well with your baby's birth. I presume you'll be "away" for a bit, so please send a note (and a photo?) when you're back online.

UPDATE: 2/10/06
Hi Alexa.
Mandy is doing fine. She's getting smarter (and bolder) every day. At first she was somewhat uncoordinated, but now she can run all over without bumping into things and often appears to have a "plan" rather than just randomly doing stuff. She's grown a bit, but not a huge amount. We're moving her to the new puppy food and that's working okay. Getting her to
"come" but she is not quite mastering "sit." The leash is still more of a chew-toy than a leash...we're still working on that. She loves untying shoelaces -- that's her favorite sport.
I'll send you some more photos soon. How are the rest of the puppies doing? Are they all in their new homes yet?
CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of Addison Dawn. I'm sure Mom is glad that part is past, and now the fun part begins, right?
Gary
UPDATE: 3/14/06
Hi Alexa,
Yes, Mandy is growing like a weed. I'd say up to a half pound a week or so. She no longer fits into the nice little cardboard box we used to bring her home from your place (and she was so tiny then). She's had her second vet appointment here and everything was fine.
I was gone only 3 days so she probably hardly missed me. We're working on some basic training now. I think Mandy is training us as much as we're training her.
Yes, I got your photos of the other puppies just fine and sent them along. Thanks.
I'm attaching the photo again...if you can't open it, I'll save it again in another size.
How's your new little baby coming along? I hope she likes puppies!
Gary
UPDATE: April 24, 2007
Hi Alexa,
Mandy is doing just fine. As a matter of fact, she's going to the
vet for her annual checkup this week. She considers the entire house
her territory now. She still has never had a "major shedding" (our
previous Sheltie shed heavily twice a year).
The attached photo was not staged except to have a camera handy. If
you lie down and try to read, pretty soon Mandy's in on the act!
I hope you and your family are doing well.
