Willy Albanes' pictures for 2001

Willy and daughter Jennifer at their worse. Labor Day weekend 2001 in Huntsville while painting a garage. We badly needed showers and I needed a shave, but what the heck, we were working outside in 95 degree heat! It's nice of her to help.

Jennifer and one of her best friends, Megan, visiting. Meagan is thin and quiet. Jennifer is heavy and non-stop talks. Quite a mesh.

Jennifer's graduation picture. She got her BA in Psych in December, and is in grad school now.

This is grandog Murphee, in Jennifer's truck, while moving from Mobile to Huntsville (temporarily). We moved Jennifer again two weeks later. Her truck smelled... doggy.

Willy's son Carl having a typical Cuban dinner at a Cuban restaurant in Guntersville. Yes, Guntersville, of all places! And it's a great restaurant!

Carl can put down an ungodly amount of food too.

Carl during a brake for Christmas vacation. He hung around helping out the recruiter for a while, then went back to his barracks.

Willy beaming receiving an IEEE medal and State of Alabama proclamation from best friend Jim A., who happened to be IEEE Section Chairman too.

Willy and friend Nancy at her birthday, Spring 2001. Notice Willy is not smiling much, which is very uncharacteristic for Willy. Haven't seen Nancy in months now.

Willy and friend Tonya at her wedding in Montgomery, Summer 2001. She DOES look looped, doesn't she! She was having a great time at this reception after the wedding. During the wedding she looked like she was having a heart attack! She was very happy, and still is.

Best friend Jim and wife Martha clowning it up for her birthday. Jim is great... he can do a good rendition of The Three Stoges, by himself, all three stooges, at the same time!

OK, this is for late 2000, but it will fit here anyway... Willy after a triathlon clowning around (Jim has the camera) showing off his legs. Willy thought his legs were better than Martha's. Jim wisely kept quiet.

This is the Easy Sunday Morning bicycle ride group, having breakfast before splitting up... some going back and some going on to the mountains. It's a really nice group of folks, and I enjoy riding with them.

Others will go here, hopefully!
